P430 ORL | Dennis Dart | Fleet No. 4430/42430

Dennis Darts 427/8/9/30 (P427/8/9/30 ORL 4427/8/9/30) new 8/96 to Western National Ltd. allocated to Camborne depot. First of 14 new SLF/Plaxton Pointer DP35F for the company. Yellow side flashes applied for service 18 Truro - Penzance. They all moved away when the R reg darts arrived to return many years later!  4430 ended her life as 42430 with us in sunny Cornwall.

Donated to Cornwall Bus Preservation Society by First South West and offically signed over on 3rd October 2018. Unfortunatly, she will join the long list of 'jobs to do' for a minute, but at least we have her preserved and not heading for the scrap pile! She joins sister 4439 as being in preservation - 4439 is currently in Essex where she finished her service life. In October 2023, 42430 was transferred to our base where she is now stored undercover for ongoing preservation. Despite a prolonged period in lay up the vehicle is in good condition. It is hoped that 42430 may get back on the road during 2024. Watch this space,
