Privately Owned

In Preperation
471
New to Western National in March 1999 in First Barbie livery with localised service 18 Truro - Penzance branding, 471 was one of three Alexander bodied Dennis Dart SLFs delivered as part of this batch and was the last bus ordered by Western National, with all subsequent orders being First Western National/First Devon & Cornwall deliveries.

471 would be re-numbered 42471 under the national fleet numbering scheme but remained in Cornwall for the majority of its life, spending a brief spell in Plymouth in 2011. In 2009 the bus was repainted into a all over advertisement livery for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in the base colours of a lifeboat which remained on the bus until its retirement at the end of 2015. Initially held in store at Taunton, the vehicle was sold directly into preservation. The vehicle has since received some attention to the body work and has been repainted back into its RNLI base colours awaiting vinyls. Purchased by its current owner in 2025, the vehicle has returned down west pending an MOT with a return to the road planned for 2025.
