The CBPG would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We are in the process of developing a new web site which we hope to have up and running shortly.
In the mean time in these cold winter days, we thought we would include some more pictures of our Bristol VRBristol VR was Bristol's rear-engined bus chassis, designed as a competitor to the Leyland Atlantean and Daimler Fleetline. 1003(VDV 141S) and Mercedes VarioMercedes-Benz Vario (model designation W670) is a heavy van manufactured by Mercedes-Benz 52529(S529 RWP) at the Kingsbridge Running Day where both vehicles proved to be very popular and reminds all of us of the warmer days of last September.
The first picture is of the Bristol VR awaiting a 'run' parked outside of Tally Ho's yard in Kingsbridge.
The next picture has 1003 on service 429 to Hope Cove flanked by preserved 1961 Bristol SUL 336 EDV and First Devon & Cornwall's Dennis Trident which was in normal service on the day.
The third picture is of the Mercedes Vario on a run posing near Inner Hope cove on its way to Kingsbridge via Salcombe.
