Having a couple of spare hours this afternoon and needing to get out of the house, I finished off the replacement of 1147's top deck double seats. We've just got the 3 single seats and the front bench to do and it'll be complete!

2011 Penzance & Kingsbridge Running Days

As we drift closer towards winter 2011, you must make a note for 2012 to remind yourself and fellow enthusiasts that - 'I must not miss the Penzance and Kingsbridge Running Days next year as they are getting better and better!' Well, I am slightly biased as I am lucky enough to be involved with both events but I really do think these two running days are a bit special and offer so much for us enthusiasts. Read more

Bristol Harbourside Rally 2011

At one stage we thought we were going to miss this event because the RE is poorly,  but thanks to 'friend' Steve loaning us his Marshall bodied 1972 'Royal Blue' Bristol LHBristol Commercial Vehicles Light Horizontal engined coach, five of us made the trip and a very good day was enjoyed by all.  Read more

Just a week after the WHOTTThe West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust rally was held in Exeter, it was time for the big bus event at Duxford in Cambridgeshire on Sunday 26 September 2010. Kingsbridge Running Day 2010 'what an event, what a day!'

On Saturday 18 September 2010 the sun was shining, the town was busy and nearly every other person was clutching a camera because it was the 3rd Kingsbridge 7' 6" Vintage Bus Running Day when buses dating from the 1930's to the late 1990's were back in the town to operate the services and routes they used to work. To organise and put on such an event on this scale is down to 'friend' Colin Billington and Terry Partridge who between them seem to have all the contacts with all the necessary vehicles. Bristol Vintage Bus Group's Rally, Brislington, 15 August 2010

On Sunday 15 August 2010, I was one of a group of 14 enthusiasts who set off from Camborne bus station at 06.30 hours to make the 360 miles round trip to Brislington in Bristol for the annual rally held by the Bristol Vintage Bus Group.
